University Hassan II Mohammedia

The University Hassan II Mohammedia-Casablanca (UH2MC), whose first center was created in 1984 in response to the decentralization of the university institutions, holds an important place within the Moroccan universities due to its unique geographical position, located between the economic capital, Casablanca, and the administrative capital of the Kingdom, Rabat. This institution built its visibility especially due to the great efforts of the teaching body and the administrative staff who set a very clear objective: to adapt the training and reasearch within UH2MC to the demands of the integrated devolpment at local, regional, national and international level. The establishment of the University Hassan II Mohammedia-Casablanca in the cities of Mohammedia and Casablanca respresents an adequate choice. In fact, the importance of these two cities within the industrial area is a well-known fact. This way, the city of Mohammedia possesses the biggest oil refinery in Morocco (LA SAMIR), a thermal power station for the production of electricity and several chemical and textile industry units. It also hosts an oil port. Moreover, the city of Casablanca, the industrial and economic capital of the country, allows UH2MC to contribute in an effective way to the economic and social development of the country and to knowledge dissemination. Regarding the cultural and social sectors, these two cities host significant cultural centers which comprise youth centers, public libraries, theaters, etc.

UH2MC includes 6 faculties, 3 schools and gathers a number of 45,467 students, 1,005 professors, 509 administrative staff members, 200 training offers, 53 laboratories of which 7 Research Units in association with CNRST, 5 Research Centers and 5 PhD Centers. The management of the UH2MC is realised by the following bodies: The University Council and the Management Council. UH2MC benefits of a functional organization chart and a procedure manual for its quality enhancement process. The University has started the informatisation process of the administrative, academic and research tasks by reinforcing its Information System. UH2MC has implemented a platform for the ENTISSAB pre-registrations, an ENT platform and also other dematerialization applications. The University maintains special relationships regarding the training and research processes with the national and foreign universities through cooperation agreements.
